The I Latin-American and Training Biobanking from Barretos Cancer Hospital was organized by researchers from Molecular Oncology Research Center and pathologists from Barretos Cancer Hospital Pathology Department. The aim of this meeting was to allow opportunities to biobankers, professionals from medical centers and research institutions further on with post-graduate students from different regions of Brazil and Latin American. This is the first initiative in Brazil and intends to promote interaction, discussions and training between national and international biobankers and researchers dedicated to translational medicine. Moreover, promote the sharing national and international guidelines, protocols and experience in this area which will contribute to the consolidation of good practices to be developed in Biobanks in Brazil and Latin American.
