Global Scholar-In-Training Awards Recipients

The AACR is proud to offer 15 Global Scholar-in-Training Awards (GSITA) to meritorious early-career scientists from countries building cancer research capacities at AACR’s 2021 Annual Meeting. The GSITA program builds upon the success of the African Cancer Research Travel Award, which over three years (2016-2018) benefited 15 African scientists from seven countries—Egypt, Ghana, Morocco, Nigeria, Senegal, South Africa, and Sudan—and expands the program to eligible investigators from countries building cancer research capacities. In 2021, the awardee class represents nine countries– Argentina, Brazil, China, Egypt, India, Malaysia, Mexico, Nigeria, and South Africa.
